Teaching

I’ve taught at the university level since 2007. My primary teaching interests focus on 20th century U.S. History. However, I also have a strong interest in experimental pedagogy. For example, I’ve designed several courses around the Reacting to the Past curriculum, which utilizes role-playing simulations to immerse students into the past.

In 2015 I received the Adrian Excellence Award for Teaching, the highest faculty honor at Belmont Abbey College.
